Position Summary
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the supervision, direction, and coordination of the nursing staff. They will also oversee all services and systems of the nursing department to assure that all patient care standards of the facility and department are maintained.

Position Functions
Will Report directly to the CEO and be a member of the senior Leadership Team
Supervise a staff of 50+ consisting of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Conduct annual performance appraisals with employees
Monitor and evaluate staff performance, recruitment, retention, and development
Coordinate and schedule staff to provide adequate nursing coverage throughout all departments
Develop and maintain accountability for departments budget and participate in the facilitys strategic planning activities

Background Profile
Baccalaureate Degree preferred
2 years experience in a management role or responsibilities
Registered Professional Nurse with current Kansas license
Current CPR, ACLA, PALS, and TNCC certification
